CONSULATE TRIP UPDATES:
07/01/14
- We had a client who was asked to go through administrative processing. No reason was given. This client was able to return to US. No other issues to report.
05/19/14
- Hi Mark,
Everything went well and I am pleased with the treatment of your partner in Mexico.
Here is the step by step on my status, so that if any infor that you feel to place in your website, you can use it.
Day 1: went for finger prints appointment
When I am filling the application it said photo will be taken there but they asked me to get a photo for my daughter ( under 6 years). I was bit tensed as I have only 15 minutes for appointment time. But they are helpful and accepted to go inside even if I am 30 minutes late.
Day 2:
Went to consulate 20 minutes prior, finger prints verification completed in 20 minutes. ( on Tuesday)
Waited for 2 hours to get called, it was frustrating but called my token number finally at 12.30 PM where my appointment time is 10 AM.
No new questions everything is simple questions like how long you are working etc.
Finally he said I got visa but it may take 2 – 3 days to get my passports, and check for the status in mexico.usvisa-info.com for AWB number.
I waited next day and AWB number didn’t get updated till Thursday afternoon.
I directly went to consulate around 1 PM on Thursday and checked the status, they said I can pick up my passport at 2 PM.
They gave my passports at 2 PM and I returned to Boarder crossing.
The worst part is the AWB number didn’t get updated till now.
Here is my suggestions overall:
1. Keep photos if you have a child under 6 years
2. Don’t wait for AWB number, go to consulate at 2 PM and check for p[assports on very next days of interview
Please feel free to contact if you need / I can provide any further information.
Thank you again for your wonderful services.

- We had a client today who went for visa stamping and was approved. Passport was issued on the following day at 2:00 P.M. and back at the SAN airport by 5:30 P.M. No other issues to report.
08/01/13
- Our clients from yesterday made it back to the airport by 4:00 P.M. No other issues to report.
08/01/13
- Our clients today were approved and asked to return tomorrow at 2:30 P.M. to pick the passport up.
05/21/13
- We had another successful visa stamping today!!!! Our client was asked to return at 2:00 P.M. tomorrow to receive the passport. No other issues to report.
P.M. Update: Our client only took 30 minutes to cross the border and obtain a new I 94. Very smooth process!
01/25/13
- Our client received the passport today at 2:30 P.M. Border crossing/I94 processing was 40 minutes. It was an overall successful visa stamping with the exception of a delay on returning to the airport. Weather and slow south bound traffic in San Diego made it take an extra hour in reaching the pick up location at the port of entry.
We only dispatch a driver to the port of entry once the I 94 processing is complete. This is done since there is no way of knowing exactly how long the process will take. Some cases are very fast only taking 20 minutes, while others have taken up to 2 hours to cross and receive I94. Everyday is a different day and it is impossible to predict how long it will take anyone on any given day/time. We are currently working to find a solution to this. Other than that, things are going very well in Tijuana!!!!
01/24/13
- We had a successful visa stamping today! Passport will be ready tomorrow at 2:00 P.M.
01/22/13
- We are back in Tijuana as of January 2013. We had stopped offering out services here for some time since things had been going very well in Matamoros. We have some clients going for stamping this week and will update once they finish.
Our team members in San Diego and Tijuana will be ready to serve you! Please note that the services in this area cost more than in Texas. Everything is more expensive in San Diego/Tijuana as compared to Brownsville/Matamoros or Laredo/Nuevo Laredo.

- We have been experiencing issues with the updates on this site. So far things have been going good since the last update. In fact, our last client who had the 221g got the call in late December that the passport was ready for pick up and he ended up going back on the 3 to have his passport stamped.
We also had another client recently who was approved and asked to go back this coming Monday to get his passport stamped. Other than that, everything is going good in Tijuana for our clients. Please email me if you have any further questions.
12/19/11
- We had another successful client this week who got the passport issued the day after the USC appointment without any issues. Our client who had the 221g before successfuly returned back to the U.S.
12/06/11
- We had one client today needing to go through an extra administrative processing (221g). I will update as soon as his case clears. No other issues to report.
12/03/11 ONLY THOSE WITH SOLID CASES SHOULD VISIT MEXICO!!!!!
For some reason my stamping updates have not posted on this page since mid-late November. I apologize for that!
The stamping has been going great so far (100% success) with the MAS clients that have gone within the past two weeks. Everyone has been approved and all received their passports directly from the U.S. Consulate the day after their USC interview at 2:30 P.M..
It is very important that ONLY TCN's who are fully eligible go visit the U.S. consulates in Mexico. Those who have had issues in the U.S. while on H1b should consider going to the home country instead. i.e. bench periods, salary less than LCA, arrests in U.S., etc.
There are people (not MAS clients) who I've met in Tijuana and have been waiting on 221g, who should have not gone down for stamping here due to some of the above mentioned issues.
I feel it is my duty to let everyone know how things are going by posting these updates to hopefully prevent those who don't have solid cases from coming down.
I also must say that I've had clients in the past who know they have issues and still want to try regardless. That is fine with me as long as you are aware of the procedure in the event that you do not get a visa approval or 221g.
Those who have SOLID cases should have absolutely nothing to worry about as of now.
I LOOK FORWARD TO SERVING YOU SOON!
12/01/11
- So far things are going great for MAS clients in Tijuana. Everyone that we have had this week have all been approved and told to pick the passport up the day after. No problems whatsoever. As always, I try to let everyone know what is going on and what documents they are asking. The same story remains:
1. Bring all W2's while on H1b visa in U.S.
2. No bench periods whatsoever! (salary at or above LCA - EVERY YEAR!)
3. Bring all pay stubs while on H1b visa in U.S.
4. Employment/Client letters
5. Bank statements for the last 1 year.
6. All other supporting documents...
I have emphasized the importance of the above mentioned items to every MAS client to help ensure that every MAS client has the best chance for visa approval!
11/20/11
- If you have any questions regarding this location, please don't hesitate to email MAS! Things are going pretty well here and the process is MUCH better than Matamoros at this time!
11/18/11
We had another smooth and successful consulate trip. Just like the last one, the passports were issued the day after the USC appointment between 2:30 P.M. and 3:30 P.M.
11/14/11
- Well one of our clients who has been waiting for word on the 221g decided to depart Mexico for the home country due to urgent matters over there. So far the success rate has been very good as compared to those who have to go through 221g. I do my best to keep this site up-to-date to inform everyone of what is really going on at the US consulates in Mexico. I must say that right now, Tijuana and Nuevo Laredo are the BEST options to go to for visa stamping in Mexico due to the success rate and passport issuance timing.
11/09/11
- Great News! Everyone who went for USC interview yesterday received their passports today at 2:30 P.M. directly from the US consulate.
11/08/11
- We still have two clients who are pending their cases with the consulate in Tijuana. We also have 4 going to visa interview today. I will update as soon as I hear from them!
P.M. UPDATE: Today was an EXCELLENT day at the consulate!!!!! Everyone who went was approved and asked to go back tomorrow to pick up the passports!!!!!!
11/1/11
- Today we had 3 clients go for stamping. 2 were approved and asked to pick up the passport the day after tomorrow and one client was placed under 221g. No other issues to report.
10/31/11
- We had a couple go in today for stamping and got the approval. They were asked to return tomorrow to pick up the passport.
We had another client who was told that there needs to be some more verification on his case before the visa could be stamped.
10/25/11
- We had two clients go for visa stamping today and both were approved. They were asked to return tomorrow to pick up their passports at 2:30 P.M. Below is an email from one of the clients:
Thanks so much for the help. Overall the experience was smooth this morning. Carlos was prompt at 09:00 AM and we were at the consulate at around 09:15.
It took me 45-60 minutes to get through 3 layers of checking and to the final interview counters. I waited for 45 minutes to have my number called at the counter.
She was a middle aged woman and greeted nicely. Took my I-797, Appointment number and DS 160 confirmation with stickers along with my passport. The interview took around 10 minutes and the following questions were posed which i had answered with out any issues. It looked to be a good day at the consulate as i meet 3 other folks and their visas are also approved.
Thats about it and she has asked me to come back tomorrow at 2:30 to pick the passport. I was out USC by 11;00 and it took me well under 2 hrs in total.
10/18/11
- AN EMAIL FROM A PREVIOUS MAS CLIENT:
Sorry for the delayed response, whole in whole my visit to the US embassy in Tijuana, Mexico went very well, shuttles drivers and taxi drivers did a good job in taking to the VISA offices on time and they were always on time.
VISA interview not more than 10 minutes and officer has asked me about my job profile and who I work for, what is our business and from which office I work.
This was my H1B renewal , when I went to India last time there was 3+ months of delay so VISA officer has advised me to go to India next bacon there will be a delay again (just a heads-up from him). I don’t know why he said that but he was kind enough to approve VISA immediately this time.
10/14/11
- Email from client's experience yesterday:
Here are the questions. The interview went on well without any major problems. My interview was at 10AM but i was there at 8AM and out by 10. The officers are giving a hard time and 221g for anyone on a EVC model (most cases..i came across 4 people stuck for about more than a week here in the hotel as they were given a 221g being on EVC model)..if not a 221g they are really digging deep to get all kinds of information and seeing if they have been following the H1B laws. I would suggest only to come for your stamping if your in desperate need of it if your on the EVC model..not to scare anyone but a suggestion. Any one on fulltime basis with big Services companies and fulltime with american companies can come with their eyes closed. it is a walk in the park for such cases. I would also stress that it is a case to case scenario as all the people who came today even being on the EVC model got approved..So think it all boils down to your luck
Are you here for a renewal
ANS: Yes
Which company are you working for
ANS: XXX
looked into my previous visa and asked "Are you not working for XXX (my previous employer)"
ANS: NO
Have you done your masters here...where
ANS: XXX...XXX
Where is your company located
ANS: XXX
where do you stay
ANS: XXX
Are you working for a client
ANS: YES
Which Client
ANS: XXX
How long have you stayed in XXX (the current state)
ANS: XXX
How long in your contract with XXX (my company)
ANS: XXX..Give the expiry on your H1B
Come back tomorrow to get your passport
Thank you for your help mark..everything went on really smooth..the cabs were on time and also they were really flexible with respect to time as we opted to go early to the consulate.
Thanks Again

09/23/11
- Stampings seem to be much faster at Nuevo Laredo and Tijuana at this time. Passports are being issued within 1 business day and sometimes on the same day as the appointment. Those who don't have much time should consider these locations.
09/22/11
- We had another client approved for the visa today. He was asked to pick up his passport at the consulate directly tomorrow. He will return immediately thereafter. We had another client who was told it will take an extra day or two to complete some extra administrative processing. I will keep updating on the status of this client as I receive information.
09/21/11
- Our client from yesterday picked up the passport directly from the consulate and went straight to the port of entry immediately after. It took about 30-60 minutes to cross back to the US at the border. NO other issues to report.
09/20/11
- Our client who went for stamping today was approved and told to pick the passport up directly from the consulate at 2:30 PM tomorrow.
08/24/11
- I will be in the San Diego/Tijuana area next month, September 18 - 24. Anyone having appointments during that time should email me as soon as possible!
08/19/11
- Well so far the response has been GREAT by people interested in going through MAS to Tijuana for their U.S. visa stamping! Please note that the logistics/costs is MUCH different in Tijuana/San Diego area than in Nuevo Laredo/Laredo or Matamoros/Brownsville areas. Every location is different and so are the distances driven, traffic in the cities and crossing back to the U.S. from Mexico.
The cost-of-living is also a MAJOR factor when it comes to providing services in certain locations. It is MUCH cheaper to provide our service in Matamoros/ Brownsville area because the cost-of-living is MUCH less than it is in Tijuana/San Diego area. You can not compare both locations whatsoever!
I guarantee that you will NOT find any other guided service for your visa stamping advertised for less than what we are offering. In fact, there is another similar service offering less of a service at a higher cost.
I have done my research for quite some time now to be able to find the BEST service providers and negotiated for the BEST prices possible to pass the savings on to you and still maintaining that same guided service that has made MAS so popular since day 1 back in 2004!
And please keep in mind that it is not just transportation you are paying for, it's peace of mind! You have the support of MAS behind you throughout the process! Those who have had to rely on it, will surely tell you that it's worth every penny!
I will stand behind each MAS client and will do whatever I legally and possibly can to assist you no matter what the issue or location is.
We recently had one client in Matamoros who faced an issue with the visa stamping and was even denied entry into the U.S. This client had given up on trying to return to the U.S. but I was not ready to give up just yet, after making several phone calls to different ports-of-entry and plenty of persistence patience with the CBP officers, I was finally able to reach someone who would listen to me and give a second look at my client's case. Guess what?! He was able to return to the U.S. on a temporary I 94 instead of having to return to the home country from Mexico and spending a lot more money doing so. The relief he felt when he crossed back into the U.S. and the gratitude he showed me was priceless!!! That's why I stayed with this business!!!!
Now I can never guarantee anything EXCEPT that we are behind you 100% and will do what we possibly can to assist you in any way legally possible! Try getting that from someone else! YOU WON'T!!!!
Another reason to using the MAS services is that every client who goes with MAS is actually supporting the whole TCN community. Your business helps keep this website updated daily to give everyone a fair, honest, and impartial look at how things are actually going at the U.S. Consulates in Mexico! I have had many clients thank me for constantly keeping the site updated because that has helped them in either deciding to come or not to come down for stamping. My goal has always been to provide the latest and up-to-date information on the visa stamping process in hopes of ensuring each applicant a stressful-free stamping. We have had several cancel because of our updates and that is perfectly fine!!!! I'd much rather have a client cancel their USC appointment and service with MAS than take his/her money and later have to witness them stress out because of the denial and then post a negative feedback on our updates page(s).
I am by no means rich in doing this, I just make an honest living providing an honest service to each client in the BEST and most efficient and affordable manner possible! Your business is always greatly appreciated!
I will also begin with the statistics for each location to give people a better idea of how things are going.
Once again, thanks for all your support and I look forward to serving you soon!
Mark Lehmann
